WORK ETHIC

We make office calls and we do "whatever it takes" to get your work done in a timely manner.

"We are responsible enough, to never guarantee we will win... But we can, and do, guarantee we will always deserve to win...  because of our work ethic."

Work Ethic We believe that turn around time is everything in the practice of law, and again like the rest of Signature Hill professional consultants, associated with us, all of us find ourselves with clients waiting to the last minute or clients who are type "A" personalities and want to set the agenda.

In litigating, we have found a definite advantage, a lot of the time, in getting to Court first and having the other side respond to the paperwork that's going to be a virtual part of the litigation. We most often, with some restrictions, will have documents ready for you to review and sign within "days" of your visit. Our goal is to get to court as quickly as possible in a written competent way and create a position of strength for you to either show our resolve to "go the distance", if necessary, and also, reserve for you a position of strength for you to negotiate an (in-between) settlement. Most often we do our job best, if we show that we're prepared, are filed in court and committed to the long haul and negotiate an in-between, settlement, saving you a lot of billable time and eliminating the risk of possible failure at the end of the case.

One of the other things we pride ourselves on (beyond turn around time) is the fact that we are available after five and during weekends. There are election cases that we have litigated in which we've literally worked 2 or 3 days in a row, 20 hours a day, in a spirit of doing "whatever it takes" to position you for success in your legal matter. We also have families, who unfortunately at times, are well used to taking second seat to the interests of our client and are just committed to helping us help you and support us so that we can be here for you, round the clock and on the weekend. We like to say we work "eight to faint" at Signature Hill.

Part and parcel of that work ethic comes our desire to share with you the progress we're going to make in the file. We do that with status letters. Each and every periodical appointment you'll have will be followed by a status letter which serves two important purposes. Number one, it will totally update you on where we are going and why we want to go there. It will also update me when I'm going down through the file. I obviously have more than one client, and so it saves me a great deal of billable time to update myself in reading only the most recent letter and then come up to speed so to speak with your file and also keep it moving.

Next, we also pride ourselves on returning our phone calls in a timely fashion. Now I am not going to sit here and tell you that we return all of our phone calls within minutes of them being placed, but we do our best to return our phone calls within a reasonable time frame, so that anxiety can be reduced on your part. We also exit you and will exit you copies of everything we file and every letter we send on your behalf to the various jurisdictions, courts, and other attorney who might be involved.
